Hi and thank you for your kind words on my albums. I'm very new at photography, but it's fun learning. I seem to be deleting less and less..LOL. Also, thank you for the tip of the steel wool and hard wax for the old travel trunk. That sounds like a great idea. I live in what the locals call the "foothills of the Ozarks", but not actually in Lake of the Ozarks. That is beautiful country. Of course that's bias coming from this Missouri girl. Thanks again and keep taking those beautiful photos. Donna

Hello! Thank you for visiting my featured album, Perfect Minnesota Winter Day. I'd ship you some snow, if we had much left on the ground. Lately it snows then melts right away . Much like March or April snow. I love the variety in this very beautiful album. All the roses!!!!!! I love roses, and you have some beauties here. My favorites are the red ones. Wonderful scenic photos from all over the country and states around you. We are going to Texas and New Mexico in a few weeks. It's nice to get an idea of what we might see in Texas. Hi Susie, This is a wonderful album and I was delighted to see some beautiful shots of Missouri. I used to go to Johnson Shut-Ins a lot when I was a kid. Thank you so much for your kind comments on my Kirkwood album. I would be more than happy to go back and take photos of the medical school for you. Do you know the name of the school? I can't seem to think of one in Kirkwood off the top of my head. Also, it's a small world because my dad lives in the neighboring town to Farmington. In fact, I am going down tomorrow to visit with him and we are going over to Farmington for lunch. Let me know about the medical school and I will go over there and take some shots for you. Take care. Peace and Love. Donna/Missouri

Hello Susie, Thank you for the good words you left in my guestbook about my albums. It is really appreciated, especially when coming from such a talented person as you. I viewed a few of your numerous albums, only a few for lack of time, and I liked very much what I saw so far. It is great to see scenes from different parts of the country through the eyes of a artist/photographer. Beautiful things that could go unnoticed by many are brought up into light for everyone's pleasure, thanks to your talent. Congratulations for your albums, they convey the ambiance of the places you visited and of depict your environment with vivid colors and warmth. You seem to live in a pleasant and well maintained environment, rich in subjects for inspiration. I am glad for you. As for your question concerning the weather and the scenery in Quebec early November, I do not have good news fror you. Unfortunately, I fear that we will not be honoured by your visit this fall. Indeed, the weather is not nice at all at this time of the year: rain, cold wind, mushy leaves littering the soil, dead grass, are all caracteristic of November. By mid November, non lasting snowfalls are starting with temperature nearing freezing at the nighttime and often in the daytime. By then, we are back to normal Eastern time whereby it is nightime at around four thirty in the afternoon. Non a pleasant time of the year between early November and mid-December as there is not enough snow for any significant outdoors winter activity and the weather is rotten for any outdoors sport such as baseball, softball, soccer or golf, for example. The landscape is not inviting for photography as the mountains and hills of deciduous forest are all of this dull bueish/brownish gray and fields have lost their vivid green colors. At that time of the year it is almost all the time cloudy and cold wind is often prevalent from North or North-West. I find this period of the year very depressing, particularly after the splash of colors we are blessed with in October. As a matter of fact, I surmount this otherwise depressive period by going out a lot to bank on these lovely scenery in mid-October. I am very sorry about these "weather forecast" as we are most probably going to miss your visit for that. Yet, You wanted the truth and I would not want you to waste your time and money coming up here and not have valuable scenery to look at or to shoot at. Hoping it will be possible for you to come on another year, thanks to a different timing. You are very welcome at any time though and we hope you will be well treated when you come to visit our land. Respectfully, Ray from Quebec.

They are in Marlow, the town they are working on is my grandma's sister's old place which there kids still have and have set all this up, they have family reunions and all kinds of get togethers there, some of the music pictures are from there also. Katrina Elam album is from there. The Snake River Gang put on old west shoot out shows here and there, lately have been doing a thing with the Casino in Duncan on Thu. nights

Hi Susie, I have loved "traveleing" through this album with you! How I would love to see many of these places myself one day! For now, I am no longer in Colorado & do not know if we will be returning, or not. Our 25 yr old daughter, Michelle, had a malignant brain tumor removed in Aug. & we have moved back to Simi Valley to be with her. She is half-way through radiation and chemo & we are believing God for a total and complete healing, but she will definitely need our support for a long time. I've just started to get back to taking a few pictures (the hummingbirds) as it's great therapy for me! Thanks for the notes - it's good to be in touch with old friends! Take care & God bless, Lynn

I guess WOOOOOOW! just about sums it up!. Ever since I was a young boy growing up in the African bush (which I don't regret for a second) I've been obsessed with notions of the New England states, the trees, the meadows, the church spires pointing fingers out of the valleys, the golden leaves that carpet the landscape during what you call Fall and we call Autumn. You might say I've had a lifelong love-affair with all things American (even my Jeep Cherokee has a "Route 66" number plate!). I've stood in the concrete street canyons of New York, topped the Empire State Building, did New Orleans and the French Quarter before the floods, been to Hollywood, Texas, San Antonio and the Alamo and buzzed out on the glorious nean-lit excesses of Las Vegas. I've driven the Big Sur, spent a marvellous week in San Francisco (like they say: every American has two home towns - their own and SF). I've ridden across your wide and beautiful land on Amtrak's Sunset Limited and I've even driven along parts of old Route 66. But I've never been to New England. Now - thanks to your stunning photography - I don't have to. Thank you...

Hello Susie. Really enjoyed taking a peek at this album. Little did I know that I would stumble across photos of the Tetons. I found those particularly interesting to see as to how they look with snow. I was there this summer and fell in love with the awe and beauty of this mountain range together with the National Park. I have also called to say thank you for stopping by and signing my Christmas feature and making my day so special. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Wishing you the happiest of new years. Kind regards, Jayne/England xx

Hi, Susie. I just watched the entire album as a slideshow of your "few" favorite pictures:-) There's wonderful variety here and there are so many exceptional images. Lots of flowers (I would have expected that) and visits to other states--I've been to most of them except Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Loved Fredricksburg, TX--bought some lace for a valance there. Had German potato salad that was yummy. Vermont and New Hampshire were so beautiful, and I had the good fortune of being there in the summer when it was so hot here in Arkansas. I had to remind myself that their winters are as bad as our hot summers! But maybe they like the cold. Anyway, this is a wonderful reprise of your work, and I enjoyed all of it. Hugs, Barbara
