Bill and Kay, I haven't visited your albums enough lately and when I saw your new additions, I was so thrilled with their beauty. While I loved Autumn Trail and Gr####y Reflections, I went positively gaga at the Old Homestead. Throughout my growing up years in West Virginia, I'd seen many such homes and was always fascinated by the "top and bottom" porches, and imagined how it might be to go out of my bedroom onto the upper balcony/porch and enjoy the West Virginia moonlight through the trees. I also loved Deserted by Time, your photo of the old railroad hopper. I've seen plenty of these in my day, too! And now the GOOD NEWS is: we've bought a house in Elkins and will be retiring at the end of October (2005) so I will finally, after 40 years, be back "home" in the West Virginia hills. Photos are great. I am from WVA, raised there until 12, then we moved to VA. I was just up there for a week. Took the train ride form Huntington to Hinton for railrosd days. I took pictures with my Sony Mavica. Took about 600 photos, but I have not put any on webshots yet. I took a lot of photos but the color that I saw from on land were nowhere near yours from the river. Great pictures. I'm jealous. Keep up the good work. Margie.
