My Hometown in the Winter

Eva-Britt,...wow, I am lucky and honored to be first writer in your questbook! You have posted interesting pictures at opening of this new album. Yes, winter is upon us in the northern hemisphere. Our good autumn days are gone. For another six months we will enjoy snow, low temperatures and many winter sports. Just to share with you how the drastic changes are in our region. Yesterday on Sunday, October 26, we had high plus 22C. Today at noon we already have only plus 5C and possible snow this evening! Hi Eva-Britt, your great album is already with new additonal images from your very interesting town under first winter influence. Intriguing images, snow and green grass, snow is gone and fresh early morning frost is very picturesque. Oh, I am waiting for more pictures with winter scenes. Hello, again, This album is wonderful! Your best yet, I think. I like the way you have enjoyed the colors and lights and shapes. Outside here, there is a raging blizzard, with snow swirling in the air. And on the ground, drifts are accumulating rapidly. This late in the year, we can assume that the ground will not be visible again until March. Fortunately, all my peonies in Maine have been "put to bed" in a covering of loose hay. Next year, I will be opening my gardens for public view for the first time.

Hi Eva-Britt, glad to view your latest winter images and looks like more daylight is coming back to your area. Your picture titled "Waiting for summer" is on everybody's mind and at the same time very optimistic too... I hope that the next images will show some first signs of spring. Again I am amazed that your town geographically located at such a high latitude, actually experiences relatively warm winter. Hi Eva-Britt, Our Railway Station will be ready in a year or so. My son assumes, that it will be ready when he finishes his studies in Beersheba. The station would make it much easier for him to come home at the weekends. Those rosemary plants grow wild in many places and are often seen in gardens and even as fences. They grow always much more than planed and it is not so easy to keep them small and pretty. Now they are full bloom awesome smell and lots of bees, but later they are gray and dirty. Thinking about your snow - (the pictures in this album are so petty!) - I made a new album of flowers. So if you need some color......! Here it seems the winter is over. The trees get green. The almond trees are already after bloom. Tomorrow we go on a trip to the Golan Heights. There are lots of blooming trees and lots of water and some landscape to take pictures. I hope it will not be raining.....! I'll keep you informed. - Galit
