(Beware, those who leave packs on the shelter floor.. the mice see, and WILL leave multiple holes in your pack... ) .. These, by the way, are not your usual shelter mice.. this was a family of White Footed Deer Mice.. still with sharp teeth, and voracious appetites, alas for the unwary. I shamelessly (and incorrectly) bribed them away from my pack with a humble offering of raisins, earlier... I think that's why they let me get close enough to outrage them with a flash from my camera.
