We were shrimping in the Straight of Juan de Fuca below Lopez Island in the San Juans, Washington. We went Ling Cod Fishing. When we came back the incoming tide pushed the buoys under water. Slack tide was at 7:00 am next morning. Spent the night on the boat in Friday Harbor. Next morning buoys popped up and we had an octopus, spot shrimp, and hermit crabs in the pots. This octopus was eating the shrimp. The shrimp heads and tails were broke off and it sucked all of the insides ou of them. The s
