This is the first of two steps that will make the spokes an integral part of the canopy... One by one, attend to each of the canopy's four corners: fold the tip of the canopy corner back over the spoke tip, and then wrap additional canopy material from near the corner over the first fold, forming a bunch that is mostly visible from the canopy's underside. Slide an elastic band over the bunch by an inch or two, then re-wrap as many times as needed until the bunch is tight. This forms a pocket.
