The stock belt at the top has a large plastic buckle that was uncomfortable and damaged my spray skirt when I wore the rig with the bag in the front. It also has a separate releasable belt that allows the bag to be removed and thrown. I never use that feature, so I made a new belt with an industrial-strength Velcro closure, two carabiner loops and a soft rubber release ball. Ahhh, much more comfortable...
