Album Info:
Before meeting my Dad, my Mum was friends with George Wilkins (seated 4th from left), who I believe was a well-known football player. The back of the photo says it's the Brentford Football Team. I imagine it was taken in the 1930's. I think George's son is also a well-known footballer, but, as I don't follow English teams, I'm not sure about that.

HI Gaynor, you dont know me. I am related to George Wilkins. He was my Dad's cousin. I dont know too much about him myself. but besides Brentford, he also played for Nottingham Forest. Though I have been unable to trace any photos of his time at Notts. Yes, his son was a famous footballer. Ray Wilkins, who played for Chelsea. He was in the England team during the world cup of the 1980s ( I am unsure of the exact year, though it's possibly 1986 ). He had three brothers who also followed him into football. Graham, Steven and Dean. We don't know if George is still alive as my dad lost contact with him in the 1960s. But there was a photo of him and his wife and family in the Sun newspaper in the 1980s. I hope I have been of help. Thank you for sharing this pic with us. from JILL HELLARY.
