This building was just outside the city gates. Throughout China water wheels are still used to irrigate the rice fields. Here we found a mound of fresh, wet feathers and surmised it was the remains of what was to be our lunch. To my knowledge the only part of the chicken that the Chinese don't eat - are the feathers.
