Back at the Bamboo Inn we shared a bottle of wine that Peter had brought with him from Australia. This was my first taste of wine since arriving in China. For dinner there were many things on offer. While snake and dog are the most popular meats in Guangxi and Guangdong Provinces, Peter and I opted for something less exotic and had the area specialty, Yangshou fish which was like all Chinese fish. Boney with little flesh. But the wine was heavenly and made a wonderful end to a magnificent day.
