Album Info:

I spent a couple of hours trying to creep up close enough to get this shot of a pheasant in our local woods.

  • "Female Pheasant...I spent a couple of hours..." - These hours worth the shot: very clear, sharp photo that shows bird's alert emotion. Not sure [Pheasant females all look alike], but I think it is Lady Amherst Pheasant {f}. Because they are not colorful, there are not too many Ph.f. pictures. Thank you for sharing.

  • Greetings. I am a western/wildlife artist and have been asked to draw a picture of a family of pheasants, for a northwest pheasant organization. I have several pictures of roosters, but am looking for some hens. May I use your picture of your hen to incorporate into this picture? I have no financial compensation, other than a print of the the drawing. wildwindart. (www.wildwindart.com)
