Album Info:

Composite. Both images from the evening of 29 April 2004. Latitude: -19.2478 S Longitude: 146.7669 E Alpha Crucis (lowest,brightest) and Gamma Crucis point to the South Celestial Pole. Look about 2.5 fists away (25 degrees) from Acrux, drop a line to the horizon and you have South. Crux was named in 1679 and said at the time to be one of the most beautiful constelllations in the Southern Hemisphere.
