Album Info:

Shi Shi Beach, Olympic National Park, Washington state. Shi Shi Beach is a wilderness beach and there was nobody else there that day until I headed back to the car. As I was hiking up the beach I saw in the distance what I thought were a couple kids playing at the edge of the surf. As I walked further it became clear that it wasn't people, but Blacktail deer. Once they saw me they made a beeline for the trees and miraculously happened to pass right in front of me. This was the first and only good shot I got off with a Yashika FX-3 manual camera. This was in May of 1989.

  • What a cool shot. They are so pretty. It almost look's like they are coming out of the Ocean. Neat.
