1.4 miles. 1100 feet. 12:05 PM. Signed junction with the Grassy Pond Trail at Daicey Pond. Ira Schoenberg. This photo was taken back on August 24, 1979 when I did my first Baxter Park trip. This location is close to the highest point on this hike on the AT. The terrain along the trail was relatively flat and easy walking.
