La torre di Calamosca,costruita nel 1638, e' detta anche (dal 1812 ) Torre dei Segnali, per il complesso modo in cui, grazie ad un ingegnoso congegno, trasmetteva alla citta'Â il movimento delle navi nel golfo. Nel 1859 fu affiancata da un faro, con luce a circa 73 metri sul mare
