Oskar, male, age 49 years Found in 1975 at Siegsdorf, Bavaria, Germany. Among them were tusks with lengths of up to 2.6 meters. As is custommary with skeletons, this male mammoth was given a name: Oskar. The exceptionally complete skeleton is the largest ever found in Europe. It stands more than 4 meters high and dates from 38,000 years ago.
