We started this dayhike from West Branch Ponds Road to Katahdin Ironworks Road at 8:45 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 at 1630 feet. Photos 32-62 are from this hike. Hand-made paper sign warning hikers of �Hornets Ahead�. We were aware that there were hornets on the trail in this area but the sign helped us avoid them.
