I met up with Darrell and Brian at the portal. Darrell hiked out ahead of me along the same route. Brian found a way over the pinnacle and down to the Mt Whitney Trail, awesome!! Some other hiker slipped and died along the Mt Whitney Trail, so I was glad I didn't attempt it. A search team was at the portal and they asked me if I was Brent, so Darrell or Brian had notified them I was alone.
