The National Bison Range, located in Montana, was one of three reserves created between 1907 and 1909 for the preservation of the American Bison. Currently, some 350 to 500 bison roam the 18,500 acres of the Bison Range. Along with bison you may see elk, white-tail deer, mule deer, antelope, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, black bear, coyote, mountain lion, and many other birds and animals.
