Album Info:
Pygmy Loris- Description: Pygmy lorises are small nocturnal prosimians with very large eyes. An adult pygmy loris weighs approximately 450 grams and can fit inside a large coffee mug. Their brownish fur is fine and wavy with a faint dark stripe down their back. Lorises have tightly clinging hands and feet. Range: Pygmy lorises are found predominantly in Vietnam and Laos. They have also been reported in the Yunnan province of China. These animals are difficult to study in their natural habitat, and little is known about their wild status. Habitat: Pygmy lorises are primarily distributed in evergreen forests, but they can also survive in secondary forests and shrub land. They are primarily arboreal. Diet: Pygmy lorises are omnivores. They feed on insects, birds, fruits, and the gum of trees. Despite their small size and slow movements, lorises can be excellent hunters.
