Perhaps due to the title of the album this photo belongs to, the sense of peace others have referred to eludes me. Mom looks alert and tense, ready to run from danger. Baby looks like he's seen too much in his young life already, and it mostly wasn't peace. Maybe it's in the eye of the beholder, but I see a photo of maternal love pitted against the devastation of war, which of course affects nature as well as mankind.

I like good photos but I don't normally pay much atention. At first glance I said "It's good and rather touching." Then a second later it struck me that the scene looked familiar. Then I noticed that the photo was taken at Shing Mun. I use Tai Po Road daily and see these monkeys everyday. No wonder they look so familiar!!!
