joemorlan > albums > Ohio-Crane Creek May 2007
Album Info:
18 May 2007 - Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, Ohio Thrushes were common this year, mostly Swainson's Thrushes and Veeries. This is the Swainson's Thrush showing a conspicuous buff eyering and face, fairly large dark spots on the chest and brownish flanks that do not contrast with the wings. This is presumably the widespread Eastern "Olive-backed" subspecies, C. u. swainsoni. Canon PowerShot S3 IS 12x
