Album Info:
October 26, 1866. The first Union Pacific passenger train in Nebraska Territory stops at the 100th Meridian sign (now Cozad, Nebr.) In 1872 John J. Cozad saw this sign, decided to buy the land from the Union Pacific Railroad and built a town. In 1873 he moved his and his wife's families west from Cozaddale, Ohio. One of his two sons was Robert Henry Cozad who later became a famous artist and art teacher under the name Robert Henri.

Very interesting. I had never heard of Cozaddale, Ohio, or the fact that Robert Henri was a Cozad; and I was raised in Cozad, Nebraska. Guess I led a sheltered life. :>)
