Now here is Black Mountain Pond that I meant to photograph. Steve Guth is in the photo. The climb of Black Mountain/Sandwich Dome gave us our last major climb of the trip as we had to climb over it to get to our car back in Waterville Valley. This ascent invovlved going up 1400 feet in one mile. This final day's hike was nine miles bringing the total mileage for the trip to 46 miles carrying our heavy backpacks.
