Here are my friends Bob Solomon & Steve Guth on the fire tower at the summit of Mt. Osceola with a view south of Waterville Valley. We then descended Osceola. On the way down I tried counting the switchbacks and came up with a count of 14. After reloading our packs at our car in Waterville Valley, we proceeded to hike a bit further to Norway Rapids. Here the mosquitoes bit, the water was cold as ice and Steve had to retrieve his mess kit which fell into a deep pool at dinner time.
