Album Info:
My "hometown" Cozad, Nebraska was founded because it is located on the 100th Meridian (Longitude) and the Union Pacific Railroad. In October of 1866, Union Pacific placed a sign denoting the 100th Meridian and the railroad's construction progress ... 247 miles West of Omaha, Nebraska. ... MB Note: See my new WS album "Cozad, Nebr. 2007" for a photo of the first passenger/excursion train at the 100th Meridian sign. and additional history of Cozad (founded 1873).
