I enjoy astronomy and this picture taken from earth is awsome, I have seen many from the hubble telescope which is clear of light polution but from earth with all the associated light polution makes this photo worth storing in my library. I once had the use of a 12" Meade telescope through our local astronomy club they are currently building their own 16" telescope.

I don't have a telescope but I do visit Carter Observatory, N.Z.'s national observatory here in Wellington, from time to time to view the wonderful sights light years from Earth. I have mentioned when commenting before on astro shots taken by Webshots members and would like to meention it again that my grandfather was a pioneer NZ astronomer from the end of the Nineteenth Century until his death in 1927. Once again, a truly wonderful shot!
