The elevation profile supplied by Steve from his GPS. From this I can tell that on this hike the northbound group climbed 3102 feet and the southbound group ascended 3143 feet. I had the hike figured as 10.5 miles but here it states that it was 9.1 miles. But Steve's northbound group did not go to Lake Pleiad. The elapsed time of the hike for the northbounders was 6:55 and for the southbounders was 7:10. So the hike was equally comparable for both groups in each direction.
