Awe that's so sad. However, I'm sure it will soon spring back into life again. I hope.

Visually stunning in the realm of art appreciation ! Intelligently disturbing ! How any one can deduce warming is an inaccurate assumption is beyond (me) ! Your fine photo here is worth a thousand words ! ~ Seattle

This is one of the photos I didn't get to yet from the Challenge, and I found it in the Editor's Collection just now. It is lovely in it's eerie way. Certainly can't say it's pretty, but it is beautiful in it's statement on God's Earth's way of living and dieing at the same time... as we all are. The colors are spectacular. Congratulations!! Blessings, Judy

The forms are really impressive and colors that can show the nature, infinites are the word.

Excellent Fred! Isn't it devastating. We thought the same while in Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks a couple years ago. More fires there last year. Many of them man made. Good luck! Sharon

A Fine Entry, Fred. I agree with you that many things seem to be happening simultaneously. The invasion of Fire ants, Killer bees, the disappearance of the Honey bees, infestations of Gypsy moths and pine beetles, brown snakes, the spread of West Nile disease, Lyme tick fever, Aids, Hurricanes, Tornados, and on and on! I feel this is the result of becoming a "Global Society". Marv (BerryMan)

A stark contrast between the trees and the ground cover. It also looks like fire may have done damage too. A wonderful entry...good luck.

An astonishing image of devastation, clearly indicating that we are not taking care of our planet. A worthy image for the climate change challenge. Greetings from England and the very best of luck with this descriptive photo. Mike.
