The north side of Carter Notch and Carter Lake. The total elevation gain for this hike was 2940 feet. This was amazingly slow as it took us 8.5 hours to traverse six miles! These were tough miles. Yes we were carrying full heavy packs with food to cook for dinner and breakfast.
