I heard on the new last night that a few homes in Connecticut still don't have power that was lost as a result of this storm. I appreciate all of your kind comments. You are commenting on my photos as I write this. As far as I know, larch trees are the only confers that drop their leaves in the fall. Years ago, when the US Forest Service allowed wood cutting this time of year peopel would unknowingly cut down live larch trees thinkg they were dead, after they dropped there leaves. Who can blame them!? I am sure that being high up in a tree might be pleasant enough in the summer, in the winter, if it is very windy, it must be distinctly uncomfortable and much colder than on the ground.
