06 January 2007 - Asa Wright Nature Center, Trinidad http://www.asawright.org/ We saw this large terrestrial crab on a night walk around the Center. This is one of the few completely air-breathing crustaceans. They live in holes in embankments and forage at night. I believe this is a male in which one claw is larger than the other.
