Tshukudu Lodge, Genius Loci, near Pretoria, South Africa July 18, 2007. http://www.gl.co.za/default.htm This was a distinctive but unexpected species in this area although it is more regular in thornveld to the north. This species is monotypic. The last name is sometimes hyphenated as "Pied-Babbler" or "Pied-babbler." Panasonic DMC-LZ5 / Nikon FS 3 / 30XWA / hand-held, no adapter.
