Cozad high school has one of the most unusual athletic team names in the World. Aside from the obvious connection to "making (or stacking) hay" (i.e. alfalfa); "a haymaker" also means "a hard blow" to an opponent's head. Logo design by Sylvia (nee) Smith, CHS class of 1955.
