Hello Fred! Very nice to meet you and there are others that went to a fair bit of trouble to find out exactly what kind of butterfly you are! Let me assure you that despite your more than ordinary name you are a king or queen of beauty! :)

This butterfly is called a "Black and Tan Page", sometimes goes by "Rusty Tip Page". That at least some of the common names. It's scientific name is Siproeta epaphus.

Since it looks like the butterfly house has specimens beyond the normal range of MO and area, it looks like this is a Rusty-Tipped Page, siproeta epaphus (Kaufman Guide 'Butterflies of North America', pp 208-209). It's a tropical related to the Malachite.

I like Fred. Fred almost looks like one we have down here but it has more white spots. Is the previous photo the same? Maybe it is the same family? They call her/him the Stinky leaf Butterfly [I didn't smell anything] -Kalima paraletka.

I don't know it's real name, but it is definitely an amber gilded beauty!

The closest one in our Peterson guides is the Diana (speyeria diana). Range central Appalachians west to the Ozarks. Maybe?
