It can grow into very old specimens with 6–7 m high thick shaggy trunks, however, the plant is very slow-growing and requires about 50–100 years to achieve this height. The trunk is typically about 20 cm in diameter, sometimes wider.

  • No I don't think this one is for sale. It belongs to a lady, more than 100 years old. She lives in a small house with a small garden. The Sago palms are the pride of her garden; the Sago palms and her roses! In the mornings I see her working in her garden! - Galit
