Album Info:

4 or 5 of these put down on the beach. I was told they were juvenile female skylarks by an experienced Birder

  • Hello Erick, This photo tells me that I to have seen and captured a juvenile skylark, I was up at Saltby airfield and it was hiding in the ruts of the newly ploughed field, took a photo of it with the intention of identifying it at a later date, you have saved me the trouble, Thanks for the comments in my "Rutland Water Album" it really was a terrific day, we actually were heading for Boston but got lost in Leister because of the road works etc, when we got to Milton Keynes we decided Rutland was far enough. Any way I’m well pleased we did. Love to meet up some time so that I might glean some info as to where to for the birds that you show in your superb photos. Best wishes to you, Paul
