06 January 2007 - Asa Wright Nature Center, Trinidad http://www.asawright.org/ These birds were very common around the feeders at the Center where they feed on fruit and nectar, but we did not see them on Tobago. This is the female. The male looks quite different and is more aqua than green. Olympus D-550z / Nikon FieldScope 3 / 30XWA (hand-held - no adapter).
