It seems that even the imposing solidity of some of the tombs is an illusion. Many were made of brick, lightly covered in cement to give the impression of permanence and strength.

  • I can't believe that someone would deliberately deface something so sacred as a grave. That really saddens me.

  • It is unfortunate someone has vandalized it! It would be wonderful if it was restored, it looks like an ancient walled city, very much like the lower courtyard of Neuschwanstein!!

  • This picture makes me want to break out my power-washer and go to town! I bet this would be beautiful if it were cleaned and mended. It's a shame it's just withering away.
