    • First off...it is pronounced "coo". About the food, I recommend not geing the meal plan in the hotel and experiencing what the island has to offer. Ku's food was good, but not amazing that I would just want to eat there the whole time. Prices range a lot, like all caribbean islands for food. You can get lunch as cheap as $8 a person, or you could go all the way to $50! And, all this just at shoal bay. For dinners, prices probably range from 20-40 a meal, with obvious exceptions at higher end places. The caribbean is known for food, so i would not limit myself to the hotel. Finally, head to St. Martin for at least a day, possibly a night. The restaurants here (where I live) especially Grande Case, are world class - not to be missed. Hope that helped

    • Sweet! Of all the pics I've seen it appeared that Shoal Bay was the best and most beautiful, so it's nice to hear that from someone who actually went there! We're getting married Sept. 29 of this year, so unfortunately we have to wait a month to go, since the island is closed during Oct/Sept...it looks like it will be well worth the wait! The only thing we're worried about is that the Ku(is it called "Q" or "coo?") isnt' all-inclusive...how expensive are the restaurants in the area? If they're crazy expensive, we might as well get a meal plan at the Ku. Thanks for your help! I/we appreciate it.

    • This is shoal bay - right by ku. I recommend shoal bay of all the beaches, although just realize the night life is not the greatest over there. However, cabs are easy to get, and any local cabby will know just where to go. Also, the new St. Regis is awesome. even if you cant stay there, head over at least for a meal or a drink, its worth it.

    • Wow, this is one of the most amazing ocean pictures I've ever seen! Is this Shoal Bay? My fiance and I are going to Anguilla and staying at the Ku, which is at Shoal Bay. Any advice on where to go/where to stay away from? Thanks. And again, absolutely gorgeous photo!
