The apple buds are starting to show a lot of pink, so to protect them from damage during several days of early morning freezing temperatures I had to resort to this extreme method of wrapping them up. During the heat of the day I just open some "breather-holes" so that it doesn't overheat inside. Hopefully in a couple of days this below normal temperature period will pass for awhile. Our average last frost of the spring season doesn't come until May 10, so I'm sure there will be more days that I need to cover them again.
