The buds are beautiful against the sky, I like the subdued version of red, white and blue. It's really very annoying. You live in Canada (!), and your spring is well ahead of ours; I'm still looking for tree buds. Oh, well, maybe the below normal temps will last through summer.

My goodness you found some. I'm so glad to see them. I've only found little furry magnolia buds so far, though the forsythia bushes are starting to get that sort of yellowish tinge to them.
