At first we thought the were saying “Bottom, bottom” as if to congratulate us for reaching the summit and making it back down. They were actually asking for our water bottles……. “Bottle, bottle” Later we saw more kids, shouting in an accusing tone “Carabineer, Carabineer” ……….. What in heavens name they needed our carbines for, God alone knows. We thought some sweets were more appropriate so that is what they got!
