Memorial plaque on the trail bridge is in memory of Seth B. Lyon. Besides being a cabin maintainer for RPH, his life ended abruptly seeking help for his friend and he succumbed to hypothermia in an overnight freezing rain on a cold wintry March night near Batavia Kill Lean-to in the Catskills.
