Would you mind telling me exactly where this was shot? I painted an oil painting from my imagination in 2001 that is eerily similar... even the three rocks and waves are almost identical. It is almost as though we were standing in exactly the same place at different times (my sky is overcast and gloomy, much less red). oh, and one more thing to answer your question about "are these your sons" you asked this in one of my albums recently....I cant remember which album, but I think it was one with my son and his friend in the car driving.....only the blond headed one...the one driving. the dark headed boy is his friend...very silly and sometime annoying friend....who seems to go everywhere with us...

oh my GOD, Maria! I dont think I have ever seen anyone with "600" comments on one photo....WOW! I have seen up to 300 and something, but wow, never this many..holy cow...and for only 8 months. That's incredible! This is really an exceptional photo. I too love the Carmel area and have quite a few good shots from that area in my albums. My wife and I had our honeymoon along the Big Sur and in Carmel. Your capture is outstanding... The quality of light is particularly captivating! Your exposure is spot on! Did you get that first try or (more likely) was it a process of trial and error? I love all of your photos, but this single one captures so many beautiful ocean features in one shot; the violence of the waves hitting the rocky shore, the frothiness of the water as it recedes off the rocks, the translucency of the rolling waves as the waning sunlight shines through them just before they break, the spray and mist above the top of the waves, the relative calmness of the open water beyond, and the beautiful sky at sunset. I like them all, but I think this one, the first in your album, is my favorite. Thank you for so many beautiful images.

The quality of your photos makes them amongst my most favorite and I feel privileged to be able to share them. It is a shame that you have to adding titles that are rather superficial and tend to diminish the pictures. I suppose the alternative of just giving them numbers is rather soulless. Is there some other way of doing it? Perhaps a vague indication eg sunset or storm etc followed by a number?
