RARE Mandarin Duck - Drake

I took this picture at a pond in the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY, where this very strange, but beautiful, small duck was swimming among the mallards. I had no clue what he was, so we did some investigating when we came home, and we found it to be a Chinese Mandarin Duck and is possibly an endangered species. He may be small, but he has a HUGE attitude ~ a VERY interesting specimen!!! What's he doing in Lexington, KY, in the wild??????? I can only guess that he must be an escapee from a zoo or an exotic waterfowl collection.
