For the Winter and Spring the Bison migrate to the Southern end of the Trace Drive habitat to be fenced in during the mating season. By mid Summer the calves are born and ready to migrate to the North pastures where they are not fenced and you can encounter them by a Drive Thru road to view them up close! Sometimes TOO CLOSE for comfort!
