I will admit a secret now: this was a surprise, I did NOT see it while I was taking the pic ;o) Anyway, the halo is an out-of-focus leaf :o) You see things differently in a DSLR's viewfinder...

Amazing close up of the zebra! Suprises from the camera are such a blessing! I have a cheap beat up camera and canoe so I cant make the picture, just capture it! Thank you very much for your proffessional masterpieces!

oh, so you mean the whole success behind this superb shot it's just pure luck and not your merit? :o) what is that halo anyway? maybe an unfocused leaf or something? Very effective, I could have sworn you planted the butterfly in the right spot after analyzing every little detail of this wonderful composition and lighting :o) (just kidding, the colors are amazing)
