At the risk of repeating everything said before me, this is an incredible capture - terrific macro. And although I normally dislike flies, this one does like very beautiful, and I am not tempted to get out my fly swatter :-) Seriously, great shot and thanks also for the background info as well.

Hi Brenda! This is stunning! Looks like a winner to me. You asked about the ladybug on the daisy that I entered and it was on the daisy when I took the photo. I don't know how to do all the digital effects. I need a teacher to sit by my side and lots more time. I have to ask you--was the fly really on the allium or was it added digitally? Oh WOW!! Brenda what a FUN, FABULOUS SHOT!! I LOVE this one!!! Incredible macro ... the fly must be drunk on the pollen ... I have seen that happen, lol!!! Wonderful colors of both the flowers and the fly ... he looks like he's been painted in some of that amazing metallic paint you see on jazzed up old cars, he's soooo shiny!!! Is he what we'd call a "blue bottle" I wonder??? Great, great entry!!!
