Album Info:

I love these guys! :-) This male Orangutan seems to be dressed in his Halloween costume a few days early. When I first spotted him, he was completely covered with the orange sheet. Taken at the St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis, Missouri. P1190348

    • He is so cute! And his little beard looks like it was professionally combed and styled.

    • Hi Sharon, Sorry to hear you had to have surgery. Hope all went off well. Yes it takes quite a bit out of you, as I know, I have had 17 ops. and anesthetic 21 times. It is no joke. It takes a will for the anesthetic to work out of your system. Will keep you in my prayers. Thank you for sharing all these cute photos with us and thinking of everyone before you went in. God speed and I know I speak for everyone, get better first. You need your health. God Bless. Love Faith

    • They are so interesting to watch. It seems to be a common thing to drape themselves with fabric like this. It has made a wonderful capture and the colour suits him so! I do hope you are heeling well. I had the same operation before they used keyhole surgery and it was a long recovery period. However I was so much better afterwards. Take it easy, Sharon.

    • So glad you are home following surgery and I hope you mend quickly. Your zoo photos are great. My husband and I went to the zoo last weekend but the animals just would not cooperate and the viewing areas left much to be desired plus the crowds took up all the space. Yours are wonderful, maybe it's the difference of going during the week but I work so that's not possible right now.

    • I love them too. I saw them for few days in there borned place at the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The resun they always are with a kind of rags, is that in the nature, the have always branches or big banana leafs that they are use to cool themself in the hot climet they live at. despite the fact they came from tropic places , they are coverd with much hair that warm them.

    • Hi All! Please be patient with me this week as I may be late in getting to your guestbooks in the 3 Photos a Week group. I just returned home today from the hospital from having gallbladder surgery and a second procedure that was unexpected, so I'm very, very tired. Bob and I visited the St. Louis Zoo on Tuesday and I had the first surgery on Wednesday. So I really did take the photos this week. Hugs to you all and I will visit as soon as I can. Hugs, Sharon
